HOLISTIC CARE SEMINAR

This seminar will be divided into two sections:

First Segment - ½ Hour
Holistic Pet Care – The Wave of the Future 

This half-hour presentation will explore why holistic veterinary care is becoming more and more popular with both pet caregivers and veterinarians. We will take a close look at the philosophical bases of holistic medicine and see examples of how an integrative approach to veterinary care can greatly benefit our animals. 

Second Segment – 1 Hour
Holistic Therapies 

During this hour we will look more closely at what I consider the three most important holistic therapies. We will first delve into research regarding health-promoting diets for dogs. You may be surprised by what science has to say about this topic. Next, we will discover the benefits of the ancient art of acupuncture which can help with many medical problems. Finally, we will investigate how chiropractic care can help our dogs maintain or regain health.
  

Dr. Doug Knueven 

Popular holistic veterinarian, author and seminar presenter Dr. Doug Kneuven earned his veterinary degree from Ohio State University in 1987 and is the medical director of Beaver Animal Clinic in Beaver, PA. He has earned certification in veterinary acupuncture, veterinary Chinese herbal medicine and veterinary chiropractic.

Dr. Doug has been practicing integrative veterinary medicine since 1995. He has written two books about holistic medicine; Stand by Me: A Holistic Handbook for Animals, Their People and the Lives They Share Together, and The Holistic Health Guide: Natural Care for the Whole Dog. Dr. Knueven speaks nationally and internationally and was recognized as the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association “Holistic Teacher of the Year” in 2018 and was the keynote speaker for their 2021 annual convention.
